NASHVILLE NOW!

Here are two views of Billy Hancock’s Rockabilly Ranch.  It is almost totally obscured from the road but take a turn into the long curved drive and it’s quite visible.  Behind the brick and stone walls of the sprawling ranch style house, there’s always a whole lotta shakin’ go on.

Next, just blocks away is Hank Snow’s famous Rainbow Ranch. Can you just imagine all the famous stars that crossed over its threshold? You can almost hear the music and laughter. Hank lived there from the early 50′s until December 20, 1999, when he boarded “the golden rocket” for the last time. It took him far away. It’s a shame to see it vacant and in such a state of decay.

Below is an earlier photo of the Rainbow Ranch in happier times.

In my neighborhood, it’s not unusual to see rambling ranch houses with tour buses and/or limo’s parked in the drive, like this one. I don’t know who lives in this house but it’s somebody cool. You know this is Music Town USA. That’s all from Nashville now!
